The heartbreak of visible panty lines

If you are a woman, chances are you have given some thought to panty lines over the past few years. Recently the anxiety over visible panty lines and womens’ efforts to hide them have reached fevered levels. Showing your underwear through your pants, dress, or skirt is a fashion sin equivalent to wearing socks with sandals. It is simply not allowed in this day and age. Or is it? Do knickers really have to stay hidden or can they be a statement unto themselves? They do not have to be hidden in the sense that it is acceptable to show a little bit of thong underwear from the top of your low-rise jeans when you bend over, but it is still not acceptable to showcase your rear-end hugged by tight panty elastic.

How do you avoid panty lines? Well there are several options. If you prefer fuller coverage panties that cover the majority of your bum then you need to follow certain purchasing guidelines. Do not buy panties that are too small for you. Even if you are tempted by that smaller size and want to tell yourself you fit into a Kylie Minogue size panty, do not buy. Chances are that a smaller panty is just going to make your bum stand out. Think about it. Elastic hugs your fat, no matter how miniscule that fat may be. Anything that is too tight for your natural curves is going to compromise your bum with panty lines. Stay away from underwear that is too tight. By the same token, avoid underwear that is too big. The elastic might be camouflaged but the baggy fabric of the knickers will not be. There is nothing worse than checking out a woman’s bum and getting the impression that she is wearing a diaper. Look alive ladies and buy panties that fit you perfectly. Sometimes this task can be as hard as finding a bra that fits perfectly but you must persist until you are triumphant.

Another option for avoiding panty lines is through thong underwear. Whoever invented the thong should be knighted or at least given a medal. Thong underwear leaves no bum behind. This style makes panty lines a thing of the past. The can be difficult to get used to – some women considered them an “acquired taste” – yet once you wear them comfortably it is hard to go back to wearing fuller coverage panties.

Many thong underwear capitalize on the fact that they are often visible from the top of low rise jeans. These styles make a statement out of the back of the underwear. They might have rhinestones or a cartoon where the thong meets in the back. Some of the newer thongs have shapes cut out at this point such as hearts or flowers. If you are more of an exhibitionist then these styles are right for you. You will definitely draw attention to you rear end.
