The summer catwalks were hot on the heels of the 'Egyptomania' look, mixing seventies sportswear with ancient Egyptian design and colour.  The result being a winning combination of notional touches.  Designers such as Anna Sui and Vena Cava certainly entered the age of Aquarius with punching prints and bold graphics inspired by the Zodiac.  As always, Sui piled on the patterns and textures teaming top creations with statement neck pieces, gladiator sandals and oversized totes whilst Cava adorned outfits with her famous hand-drawn prints.  With inspiration taken from textile designers Marilyn Neuhart and Alexander Girard, the catwalk creations had a definite folk edge.
