Work the revival in a tee inspired by fashions favourite decade!

The eighties wasn't just about working the day-glo lyra, cropped graphic print tees and overboard statements were all the rage.  Relive fashions favourite decade and work the revival in one of these top t-shirts, team with stonewash denim for the full on effect!  With summer upon us you'll have plenty of reasons to wear these retro cool numbers, the extremely versatile design means these kitsch vests can be easily dressed up or down.

For the casual-cool day time look, try teaming with vintage heels and leggings.  Dress up the look and tuck into an eighties style skirt, slip on the statement heels and add a simple clutch to finish, voilà...eighties chic to the max!

The king of kitsch unveils plans for his first-ever British solo show!

Jeff Koons is one bold, brash name in modern art and certainly well known for creating masterpieces at astronomic prices.  His balloon flower sculpture reached an astounding £12.9 million at auction!  Celebrated for his larger than life inflatable creatures and a statue of Michael Jackson produced in gold leaf, the artist is certainly the king of kitsch!  It's surprising to discover he has never before held a solo show, but that's all about to change.  Koons' is due to hit London's Serpentine Gallery with a series of Popeye enthused creations which he developed in 2002.  The images feature both his famous balloon beach toys and the iconic cartoon character, as well as the the artists own pillaging of art history.

His retro work will be showcased this July so you'll have to see it to believe it!  If you can't make the show or more realistically can't afford the unthinkably large price tags, click on a design and get working on your own contemporary creations!

From haute couture to catwalk masterpieces...let the fashion war begin!

The evening of the 27th saw a certain battle commence, this wasn't any ordinary battle but one with fashion in mind!  Camden's Proud Galleries became the backdrop to the fashion pack's style wars.  The concept was taken from America and hit the shores of the UK for the first time last night and what an evening it was.  The event was cungered up by hot brand, House of Diehl, the idea is to let a bunch of local fashionistas loose on the stage and bid them to create some top-notch pieces from any materials they can get their fashionable fingers on.  And when we say anything they can get their hands on that's exactly what we mean...from bin liners to old rags and even coat hangers and umbrellas!  The designers will create their couture, catwalk-potential masterpieces live in designated 5 minute slots, the finalists will then be under scutiny from a top panel of judges.  With the style panel including Jodie Harsh, Pam Hogg and VV Brown we hope their was some award winning creations!

Why not give those designer divas a run for their money and create your very own tank or tee, take some inspiration from the panel of judges!  Anything bright, retro and a little eighties is bound to go down a storm!

Take your tee on vacation or alternatively brighten up your wardrobe with a little summer style.

Because of global warming many of us are still feeling a little chilly, especially since we seem to be experiencing every type of weather within the same week.  Hopefully the coming months will show us a little sun, so whether you are wanting to add a splash of colour to your wardrobe or just brighten up your mood, make sure you work this summers hottest trend!  This season seems to be all about Mr. America...think loafers, polos, Hawaii style tees, retro watches and of course those high-fashion ray-bans, summer style just wouldn't be complete without them.  We are loving the catwalk collections from designers such as Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs, perfect for the beach I think you'll agree!

Click on a link and rock some surf style, both the vintage tees and sport style vests are perfect teamed with board shorts and guaranteed to get you noticed come rain or shine!

Retro 50's inspired singer is not only making waves in the music industry but is also streets ahead in the fashion world.  The rising star has been praised for her individual fashion style and is even set to appear in the May edition of reputable fashion bible Vogue.  For someone who's only just released their début single, this is pretty impressive news.  After walking the runway at the Ashish Gupta show during London fashion week, VV Brown is said to have plans of launching her own line in the form of an on-line fashion store...we can't wait to see what the singer has in mind!  Until then why not channel  her style in a cute character inspired tee, team with high-shine leggings and retro accessories for that quirky-cool look.

Contemporary goes retro with Kor's latest collection.

Designer Michael Kors' latest collection has been described as ''a surf bum trying to get into the latest Everglades Club in Palm Beach''.  Pair a blazer with board shorts in retro print and you'll channel exactly that.  The designer has taken eighties sportswear classics and revamped them...tech fabrics and neon palettes offer a contemporary twist on a once conventional piece.  So rather than the standard sportswear navy, opt for an eye-popping yellow.

Click on a design and take on the ultimate retro beach look.  Kor's certainly wasn't playing it safe for 09 and things are set to get a lot more colorful for summer...keep those shades handy boys!

Go into overdrive and inject your look with high voltage eighties fashion!

Fuchsia-pink platforms, slinky jerseys and eye-popping brights have been cropping up left, right and centre on the catwalk.  Mix up colors and team bold prints with soft hues.  Fall in love with full-on neon brights in utility fabrics and take this seasons beatbox styling to town.  This hot trend certainly speaks for its self, the only asset required to wear is attitude.  With platforms the size of small buildings, we’re a little worried a confident strut may be out of the question but we’ll certainly give it a go!

DKNY’s marked their 20th anniversary with a blast from the past.  Favorites were reworked to create a contemporary twist on this season’s hot eighties vibe.  With slick blazers and graphic print shifts, this look is perfect both day and night.  Check out the high heeled sneakers…we never said fashion was practical but we can definitely see ourselves running to the shops to snap up a pair!
